Opening Word & Reading for Worship: According to Matthew after the temptation of Jesus in the desert, Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, Jesus returned to Galilee.  Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali—to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah…the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned…from that time on Jesus began to preach,   “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. ~Paraphrased Mt 4:1-17 (NIV).      Depending on the translation you look at both Jesus and John had unique yet very similar purpose, hence here in the NIV according to Matthew, Jesus basically picked up where John had lef...

Invocation:      Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son [Jesus Christ] that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.  And this is eternal life, that [we] know you the only true God and Jesus Christ who you sent. (Jn 17:1-3) Opening Word & Reading for Worship: (Isa 64:1-3 ESV) "(1) Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence-- (2)  as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil-- to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence! Not at sea and grateful to be available with all you land lubbers! This last week I had the privilege to attend Rocky Mountain Ministry Network General Council. Not only this but I had the honor to represent Dove Creek Assembly of God as their lead Pastor! Additionally my family, friends, colleagues, mentors and former home church Life Church Utah cheered me on as I was recognized as a Licensed Minister after 10 years of laboring in the field yoked with Jesus Christ.   "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Mt 11:30 KJV Encouraged, Assured and Resolute to continue answering the call to love God, love others and serve His Kingdom Come! Let's Expand, Empower and Enlarge the Lord's perfect will here on earth as it is in heaven!   Shades & Colors of  Love—Words of Affirmation By Rev. Nicholas Sybrowsky  Heb. (נּט רּקהץ מּןביםךשד דּטנרם'דלט) Gk. ( Βψ Ρεω. Νιξηολασ Σψβροωσκψ ) Opening Word & Reading for Worship: Psalm 119:97-104 Mem "Just like water, the Word sustains us daily."   ~Tatyana Yaremkiv  In these verses, the psalmist talks to God about his love for the Word and reveals how it has helped and affected his life.  In prior sections of this Hebrew alphabet Psalm 119, he seems to cry out to God about enemies, difficulties, and trials more than anything.  But here [I agree with writer Tatyana Yaremkiv] that it's more than a coincidence that the definition of Mem connects with these verses. Just as water is a symbol of life, growth and refreshment, so is the Bible for us today.  We need it daily!  As we read through the verses, think about the various ways that God's Word affects you each day: "MEM. O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day....
